The Amis du Théâtre Populaire draw audiences interested in new dramatic forms and widen theatre audiences. They coordinate their actions with emphasis on popular theatre, driven in part by the work by Jean Vilar. The ATP produce performances once a month, from October to May, primarily at the Benoît XII theatre, and sometimes at the Opéra-Théâtre
in Avignon, or at the Tinel in the Chartreuse.
